We'll be talking about the FY26 budget and reviewing the baseline of the budget for which projects have stayed the same, been reduced, or increased. We'll be discussing how prospective federal cuts may affect the FY26 projection and how the budget may be affected when the revised economic forecast is announced in July.
The Education Committee will be holding a Town Hall with Policy Experts discussing how the dismantling of the Department of Education may affect DCPS, what it would mean if IDEA funds were distributed through a private network, and how schools could be affected if curriculum changes were applied to DC's "federal children."
