Take Action

It Only Takes a Few of Us
to Create Real Change

"Unless someone like you cares a lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."
-Dr. Suess, The Lorax

Every action matters!
Every phone call matters!
Every outreach matters!

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”
- Anne Frank

Sometimes it can be overwhelming to know where to start.

Focus on what matters to you the most. What do you think is the biggest outrage? What do you feel comfortable doing?

Even if you just start by volunteering at a local nonprofit – Fantastic! Find an Indivisible or Red, Wine & Blue meeting to attend. Start a local chapter of a national organization.

No action is too small! All Anne Frank did was to keep a diary and she changed the world.

What Can We Do?

Research shows that as little as 3.5% of the population can provide enough civil resistance to thwart authoritarian laws. A group of EIGHT students at American University were able to get AU to divest from big oil annuities. TEN people showing up at a local government hearing can get attention.

We can’t fix all of the problems, but by getting engaged in local causes and staying informed on national movements – We Can Have an Impact!
