Join a general resistance group with likeminded friends or actually go to that local chapter for your favorite cause. If you have been sitting on the sidelines, content with the status quo -now is the time to step forward and get invlolved!

Even if you are only connecting online – that’s okay! You’ll still make connections, share ideas, and find out about actions. 

Grassroots Organizing

These groups allow you to find a local group in your area, or provide you with the tools, trainings, and resources you need to start your own. Volunteer-led and driven, these groups also provide frameworks and support and coordinated activities across the US.

Indivisible sends out action items every week for what to focus on, what is happening that is most pressing, and what to demand of Congress.
They have toolkits and support for starting your own group or hosting a protest in your area.

Red Wine & Blue is a sisterhood of diverse communities working to change the world together. We help you make meaningful connections, organize in your community, and become more effective than you ever imagined. 
They host national events/webinars and have a training program on how to start your own group and actions.

Social Media Storm

DemCast is the largest and most impactful organic digital amplification network in the world. We equip and deploy tens of thousands of social media users per month to relay pro-democracy messages across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook & Twitter/X – all while battling rampant disinformation. Since inception in 2019, our network has earned over 200 billion impressions on movement content.

Working against oligarchy, Public Citizen does not work to elect members of Congress but to fight big money with advocacy campaigns based on expertise and data.

Interest-Based National Groups

These groups are organized around a specific viewpoint: religious perspective, social and racial equity perspective, environmental protections …
Some are advocating on a wide array of issues, and some are more focused on their activities.
Many have local chapters or will help you start a local group.

Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice

Our Democracy Movement aims to create a society where everyone’s basic needs are met and people have the opportunity to grow and thrive. Our goal is to create a Democracy that prioritizes the needs of the people and dismantles systems that prioritize the rich and powerful.

BJC

As the only national faith-based group solely focused on protecting religious freedom for all, we file briefs in pivotal Supreme Court cases, advocate for and against legislation, testify in Congress and unite with others across faiths to ensure that every American has — and always will have — the right to follow spiritual beliefs

Faith in Democracy provides religious and secular actors the strategies, training, networking, and partnerships needed to counter religious nationalism and advance democracy and human rights for all. 

For nearly 80 years, Americans United has defended church-state separation – a pillar of our democracy and the best way to ensure freedom without favor and equality without exception for all.

UUSJ is extremely active and well organized and they offer a lot of engagement and trainings.
